This work engages with capturing emotions surrounding gender identity and the symbolism of hands. Hands are a large part of the gender dysphoria I experience from being a transgender man, as I’m assigned female at birth, my hands are smaller than cisgender mens and don’t look masculine. This is demonstrated through photographing an aspect of my body I’m usually uncomfortable with and capturing it in a way that makes me feel confident and powerful.
